Edmond Hawila

Edmond is an IT professional with more than 20 years of experience in the sector, combined with strong skills in communication, training, and public presentation. What sets him apart, however, is his long-standing work as a volunteer, activist, and engaged citizen, with a consistent focus on the environment, society, and meaningful civic participation.

A natural communicator, he has further developed these skills through his continued involvement in personal development, including participation in Toastmasters, a global non-profit organisation dedicated to making communication and leadership skills accessible to everyone. This passion led him to create and officially charter a new local club in Limassol, Positive Minds, with the aim of making these essential skills available to more people in the community and beyond.

For more than 10 years, he was actively involved with the Cyprus Green Party – Citizens’ Cooperation, where he served, among other roles, as a member of the Political Committee and Deputy Secretary for the Limassol district, dedicating his time, knowledge, and effort to a healthier, fairer, and more humane society.

Since January 2026, he has continued his political journey as a Parliamentary Candidate for Limassol with ALMA, reflecting his commitment to a more direct, transparent, and effective political approach.

He also remains deeply committed to environmental protection, seeking to inspire others through both his lifestyle and his public engagement. A key part of this journey has been his transition to veganism in 2019, as well as his strong emphasis on sharing fact-based knowledge about humanity’s impact on the planet. He pursues this through volunteer work with organisations and initiatives such as Firefighters of the World, Friends of the Earth, and other social and environmental causes.
